Hot Tub Removal
Hot Tub Removal in St. George, UT
Drained, dismantled, and hauled.
Firm price before we touch it. We work all of Washington County, including St. George, Washington, Hurricane, and Ivins.
Most haulers don’t want hot tubs.
They’re heavy, awkward, full of stagnant water, and almost always sitting somewhere hard to reach. A 6-person acrylic spa weighs 700 to 900 pounds dry. Add water and a deck and a fence around it and you can see why most generic junk haulers won’t even quote the job.
We do hot tubs every week. We bring a sawzall, a sledge, and the right hands. We drain whatever water is left, disconnect any wiring or plumbing, and cut the shell into pieces on-site if the access is tight. Whatever it takes to get it out without tearing up your property.
You don’t have to lift a thing. The cover, the steps, the chemicals (with hazardous-waste guidance), the whole picture is part of the conversation. By the time we leave, the spot is clear.
How we handle hot tubs.
-
1. Photos and quote.
Text us a few photos of the tub, the cover, and how it sits. Show us the gate, deck, or path we’ll work with. We send a firm price back by text.
-
2. Drain and disconnect.
If water is still in it, we drain on-site. We disconnect any electrical or plumbing connections so nothing gets damaged on the way out.
-
3. Dismantle if needed.
Tight gate or a deck-mounted setup? We cut the shell into pieces we can carry by hand. Most jobs only need 30 to 45 minutes of dismantle work.
-
4. Haul and clean up.
We load the truck (or trailer for big units), sweep the spot, and you pay when it’s gone.
Most hot tub removals fall between $400 and $700.
Final price depends on size, access, and how much dismantling the job needs. A small acrylic tub in a driveway is on the lower end. A swim spa behind a fence with a deck around it lands higher. We send the firm number by text before we show up.
Hot tubs in southern Utah.
Southern Utah’s sun and dry climate beat up acrylic shells fast. We see plenty of spas in St. George, Ivins, and Washington that the original owners stopped using years ago. If yours has been sitting unused, the deck underneath can rot, the wiring can corrode, and HOA letters tend to follow.
We come out, get the job done in a half-day, and leave the spot clear so you can put a planter, a patio set, or nothing at all in its place. Whatever you’ve been waiting on, we can usually be there within a day or two of your call.
Common questions about hot tub removal.
Do I need to drain it before you arrive?
No, but it helps. If the tub still has water, we’ll drain it on-site. That can add a half hour, depending on tub size and where the water can go. If you can drain it the day before, we can move faster.
Can you take the cover, steps, and chemicals too?
Cover and steps, yes. Chemicals (chlorine, pH balancers, sanitizer) are hazardous and we can’t haul them. Washington County runs a household hazardous waste drop-off program. Search "Washington County Utah hazardous waste" for details.
What if the tub is behind a fence or up on a deck?
We see this a lot. If the gate or path is too tight, we cut the tub down to manageable pieces on-site and carry it out by hand. We figure all of that into the firm quote before we show up, so there are no surprise fees later.
How long does removal take?
Most hot tub jobs are done in 1 to 3 hours on-site. A swim spa or a tub that needs a lot of dismantling can run longer. We give you a window when we send the quote.
Will you damage the deck or yard?
We move carefully and lay protective mats where we can. Honest answer: where a heavy tub has been sitting for years, the wood or stone underneath may already be wet, sun-baked, or rotted. We can’t un-do that, but we won’t add to it.
What about jacuzzi swim spas or larger units?
Same approach, larger job. Swim spas and 8-person tubs usually need more dismantling time. Send us a few photos and we’ll quote it by text.
